The Queen is now 4.5 yo & has sleep issues ever since I met her at 4 weeks of age. We are back to the can't go to sleep at night problem. I even upped the dose of melatonin to 5 mg's, gave that to her 3 hours & 20 minutes ago & she is still awake. Suggestions?
:thanks:

you can probably find nature sounds on iTunes. i downloaded some thunder/rain storm sounds for ME on my Galaxy Tablet.
also free--which is good.
i bought a sound machine for the kiddo's room, but it turned out that he liked the white noise of a box fan better. we put it up where he couldn't reach it, pointed it away from the bed and turned it on high. the repetitive sound of the blades helped him block out the other ambient house sounds.
We use the fan for DJ, too. And chamomile tea. His pediatrician is very hesitant about melatonin for him because of his age.
I feel for you. DJ cycles between sleeping well, taking hours to fall asleep and falling asleep fine but waking up at 3 or 4 am. If I find a great solution, I'll definitely pass it along!

My oldest son who as aspergers has always had issues sleeping. Even as an infant it was a struggle. He continues at 12 to have trouble falling asleep. He could stay up for hours reading, and not even seem tired the next day. I finally found something that has worked. We use an audio and visual device called Audio Visual Entrainment. he falls asleep within about 5 minutes when using it. My son does not mind using this.
I also use it to help my 5 year old son whom has SPD. He does not like doing it, but knows it helps him to sleep better. Due to his sensory issues it makes his brain slow down and that feels strange to him. Using this has even helped him with his sensory processing concerns -Double bonus.
I put a link below for you.

Mom to two boys who do not fit what society says is NORMAL, but are perfectly normal and awesome to me.
I have this model the Davis Delight Pro. My kids do not like the ear electrodes, so they do not use them. $525

I have the white light glasses, but I am considering buying one of the colored eye goggles.
I have even used it, and noticed that when I used it regularly that I was less stressed. When I stopped my stress level rose.
