I am a female adoptee, born Sep 26, 1969, in the town of Bath, Steuben County, New York. Steuben County Dept. of Social Services handles the adoption.
I was adopted while still a baby. My birthmother was 17 years old and a senior in high school, class of 1970, active in band and chorus. My birthfather was a year or so older and had worked on farms and as a truck driver.
When I was born, I had black hair, rosy cheeks, and was described by a nurse as looking "like a little china doll."
The little information I have states that my mother was Caucasian, wore glasses, had medium length brown hair, which she wore straight. My father was Causasian and American Indian, with dark hair and eyes. They weren't married.
My maternal grandmother was a high school and college graduate and worked as a clerk when I was born. My maternal grandfather was a skilled-tradesman. My mother had one older brother, who at the time of my birth had completed one year of college and was serving in the military.
