I don't normally post here (usually on the FP board) but I wanted to share my book with you guys too.
I am the freckle-faced mom of four black children who joined our family via adoption. After my youngest daughter told me that her hair wasn't beautiful because it wasn't long and blonde like her favorite Disney princess, I wrote a story just for her. And when it was finished, I knew I had to share it with other little curly haired girls. It's a sweet little story featuring a black princess with magical curly hair.
I'm not sure what the rules are about promoting my book so I'm won't link it here. The title is Princess Truly and The Hungry Bunny Problem. Amazon has a few pages uploaded for preview. There are also a few pictures up on my fb page
I ordered it and it came yesterday! Its a great book and the illustrations are beautiful! My in laws are in town and every adult in my family read it to the kids and thought it was a wonderful book! I would like to see an entire series please!

I featured a link to your book in our adoptive families group in Western Canada in case you start getting some Canadian orders :)
I got my copy-plus an extra for a gift-last week. I love it! I'm with Nevada Jen-when is the sequel coming out??
Mamallama, what a great book! My DD LOVES it and the illustrations are beautiful. Will there be more Princess Truly books forthcoming?

Just curious -- did you work with a publisher? How did you find them? How did you find the illustrator? I'm toying with my own adoption related book.
Best,
I love that picture on your FB page. It looks just like my daughter did, about 13 years ago! My kids are all big, but I will order it for my biracial granddaughter.
