I was born Oct 1950, my birth father is Ralph Wilcox, my mother divorced Ralph June 1950 married James Murrin May 1950 (per court and adoption records) and I was removed by County Welfare Dept when my parents were jailed Feb 1951 and I was adopted Aug 1952 by my foster parents under the name of Catherine Murrin. My mother and James Murrin left town (Plymouth IN) in 1952 after being sentenced and put on probation and have not been seen/heard from since. I have a newspaper birth announcement of a younger sister born in Plymouth IN Nov 1951 named Karen Joy Murrin. I have lots of info about my birth family and relatives but no one in the family knows what happened to Betty and James Murrin after June 1952 when she sued for child support with Court from Ralph Wilcox for my older sister Barbara Wilcox whom she and James Murrin still had in 1952 but gave up for adoption inn 1952. I don't know what happened to Karen Joy Murrin either. Ralph Wilcox is dead, all siblings of my mother are dead except for one brother who told me he hasn't heard from her since 1951. If I could get ahold of her SSN I could at least check the SS Death Index, but SSA won't release it (she's less than 100 years old and I don't have a death certificate). I have done on-line searches on various sites, both free and fee based - nothing - and I've used ancestry.com to trace my family tree which is fairly complete. I do have OmniTrace looking for info but so far they have not located anything that I am aware of. I would just like to know what happened to my mother, I don't even want to have a meeting necessarily I'd just like to know if she is alive or dead. She would be about 83.
