I'm a birthmother from a closed adoption. I've attempted to contact the adoptive family (my birthson is now 24) and have had no response from them directly.
My question is this: I'd like to include my birthson in my will, but I don't know his name or address. Is there a way that I can include the information that I have (agency, birthdate) that would make it legal? I don't want them to know that I'm doing it, so contacting them again for this sake isn't an option.
Thanks for any help.

Paige just did this so perhaps send her a private message?
It certainly is legal for you to name your child in your will - how hard it would be to find him who knows.
Kind regards,

You should speak with an attorney in your jurisdiction to make sure everything is done correctly. The general rule, though, is that your intent be clear...and, of course, they'll need to be able to locate him. So, you'll want to include as much information to help with that as possible. Too many details tends to be better than too few.
