I think this is the number one asked question at my point in the game, but I am dying here lol. DH and I finished our caregiver training at the begining of February and got all of our forms in very quickly. I was anticipating a bit of a wait, but I didn't expect it to be this long. we are still, after a month, waiting to even be scheduled for a homestudy. What I am wondering is, how long did other people have to wait for their homestudy to be started and did you call often to check on things and remind them you are still waiting? We have not, as far as I know, been assigned a caseworker and no one has contacted us since our forms were submitted. :(
Thanks!
Are you going through a fost/adopt program or private home study? I suspect, from your post that you're doing fost/adopt.
If that's the case, then the wait can be pretty long. We waited for 3 months before we had our official home study through the foster care system. It was close to two months after that until we were assigned a case worker.
I generally called or e-mailed once a week to check on things. Good luck.

Thanks! I was beginning to think no one would answer. We are doing adoption from foster care. I have yet to call though because I did not want to seem like a pain in the butt lol. I will have to call next week. Thanks again
