I know it does. I never felt like I belonged and I was adopted at 1 year old. I am now 43 and I still have trouble with it. I also have attachment disorder - No one other than another adoptee would understand that loss. I had a son at 18 because I wanted a blood relative (which wasn't really a smart decision) and it didn't fill that void I had. It will forever be difficult,

Hi! I know how you feel. I don't have many friends, afraid of getting too close to people at times. My issue is fear of being left after forming a friendship or in some cases any kind of relationships. I am a Female. I grew up in Connecticut and still live here. I have always known I was adopted, but decided to pursue meeting my biological family several years ago. I would love to chat with you. Maybe we can find things we have in common, if not it's still someone to talk with. You can certainly send me an e-mail at kellymichellecoughlin@gmail.com I really hope you are able to connect with some friends and talk with some women your age! It helps a lot when you have the chance to talk with other's that you can relate too. -smiles- *Kelly*
Hey CountryGirl16! That's so kool that you are also in CT. I live in a small town in Fairfield county called "Easton" it's close to Fairfield, Trumbull,Danbury ( Right off of the "Merrit Parkway" ) I noticed your name on here, it caught my eye, do you happen to like horses? I own one right now. I never go over to the barn anymore since I don't have anyone to go with me. It's no fun riding on your own... Thanks for responding. After the week I have had, with my biological father calling me then me trying to call him back and him not picking up ( probably b/c he is too drunk to remember how to work his cell phone ) On top of that me moving out of my little apartment in Norwalk,CT due to the fact that my boyfriend of over a year has broken up with me, waking up this afternoon and seeing that someone reached out to me put a smile on my face!Feel free to look me up on Facebook, i'm not too sure if you feel comfortable with that but if you are my name is Kelly Michelle Coughlin, and here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/kellymichelle.coughlin.7If you would be more comfortable with talking with me through my e-mail feel free to do that. Kellymichellecoughlin@gmail.comTake care! :)
