Ok so I am really nervous we just recieved an emergency call for a 10 month old boy. It has been almost 11 years since we had a baby in the home. Any advice would be great!!
How exciting for you . I'm sure your "mom" instincts will kick in right away ,I think they are imbedded in us mom's.
Enjoy your little bundle .

crock pot meals that you can start early in the day, when the most brain cells are still working.
Get a carrier. It frees up your hands and helps them feel close.
Before going out to a store for supplies, look online and create a wish list/gift registry. Then when you get to the store you don't have to remember. You already picked it out! Just print off the list and shop. OR send someone else to pick up the items. This would even work if you need your husband to pick up "a few things" on the way home.
Thanks for the advice!!! My mother instincts did kick right back in. At first I was overwhelemed and was wondering what I had gotten into. Now the little one has stolen our hearts and couldn't picture it without him!!
I have worried about the same thing "forgetting how to care for a little" it has been 16 years since we have had one that small. Everyone tells me that it comes right back to you. Can't wait to find out. So happy for you!!

I know that feeling. It's only been 4 years since our daughter was little, but I feel a little lost in the baby section at stores already. We're licensed for 0-3, so I'm going to hope it comes naturally like it did the first time.
