Hi Warnova,I'm in the States, but I can name some websites that might help you out.First of all, if you have a name, that's a good starting point. Try genealogy/heritage sites - I haven't specifically looked in the UK, but ancestry.com seems to be very helpful for more than just us Americans. Obviously, it helps if you're working with a less-common name. Looking for a "Smith" is basically like looking for the proverbial needle in a haystack. There are other sites that I found helpful in my own search. I used archives.com, for example. I also had good luck with a few other sites, including Facebook, if you can believe it, once I'd narrowed things down a bit.I hope the adoption agency can give you more information and perhaps a bit of guidance...Good luck to you!

So i found my birthname, adoption papers and mothers name. I am in canada and was born in England. Any tips on locating someone in the UK. I have contacted my adoption agency and just waiting a reply. Thanks in advance
