I'm new here so please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong section. I am 23 y/o. My husband is 25 y/o. We have been seriously considering growing our family through adoption. I have concerns though. Will it be hard for us because we are so young? We are a military family and have been married almost 6 years. We have two biological boys. Ages 2 and 3 y/o. We also have 3 dogs, a cat, and a ferret. I worry having so many pets may make it hard as well. We also have no idea what to expect as far as time frame from beginning the process to bring him/her home in a domestic adoption. It seems to vary so much! We have no idea where to begin. We are scheduled to attend a group meeting next month with a Christian based agency. It's all so overwhelming. I'm lookin forward to finding support here and hearing others' experiences in this journey.
Hi Lucy,
According to my opinion you need to consult with a child support group that provides you suitable advice and required support.
My sister has also experienced the same issue, she told me that child support group helped a lot.

We have 2 dogs and a cat but no Bio's. Have you thought about what ages you might be interested in taking and how many? We take 0-18 so one of our questions we ask before agreeing to a placement is whether or not there has been any history of animal harm.
