Just looking for some opinions. We were blessed to adopt 2 brothers (ages 3 and 2) who were our initial placements. We found out last week that the birth mother has had another baby and the baby is already has already been placed in foster care. All 3 children have different dads. The caseworker seems to think adoption is likely.
For whatever reason, we were not initially contacted but have since been asked about our interest in adopting/keeping contact. We were not actively looking to adopt at this time as we also have an 8 month old baby girl. However, because the baby is a sibling we can't bring ourselves to say "no we don't want her." Her current foster family also wants to adopt her if it comes to that. Both families sincerely want whatever is best for her, whether reunification or adoption into one of our families, or possibly another.
My question i: what do you think is more likely, for the baby to be placed with her half brothers? Or to stay with her current family? This is all just "what if" scenarios.
Thank you!
