I am looking for my older adopted half sister. She was adopted in florida at birth, around 1952 or 1953. Our mother was from Virginia. We are the only children left born of my mother, since my brother passed on a few years back. I would just like to know her. My birth father is also deceased. Our mother is still living and is 78 years old now. Our mother was born on Halloween. I did not find out about my sister until I was grown. Thank you.
I am sorry no one took a few moments to respond to your post.
I am looking for anyone still alive from my birth family.
I too was adopted in Florida.
I was adopted in 1956.
The birth certificate is false as it lists my adoptive parents as my natural parents.
I am not sure how they were able to get away with that.
I guess back then it was okay? To lie.
I understand I have a sister and if my BM is still alive, she will be in her late 70's.
I wish you the very best. I know the Florida record is sealed and when you call the registry, you get the run around.
Don't give up.
Someone will help you start. That is why I am here.
So far no help, but I just registered today.

Oh, I so much hope you are able to find your birth family. Do you think that is really the year you were born? My sister would have been born at least 2-3 years before I was, which was in 1955. 1952 or 1953. I will try to get more information from mom about the exact year, and where it was in fla. W
hat does it list as your date of birth? I will also at least get the month and year from her. She fell and broke her hip. First bone ever broken. She is doing well, and will be home this Sat. She told me the baby was a little girl with dimples, and cried. Probably with blond hair. At least as a child. Good luck to you! To both of us.! Hugs!
