MFA Update

Thanks for posting that! I've been feeling a little 'blue' about Kaz adoption lately:( Seems like we've been hearing the same old thing since the first of the year now!! Is it actually going to re-open or they gonna drag this out indefinitely?? Did anyone else read about the mtg in Astana on Tuesday with the Russian officials? They went over there waving there list of children who had been through the 'ranch'. When Kaz told them they had already investigated and had received reports from the two children that had been through the program, Russia advised them to investigate deeper that there likely were more children! They also highly encouraged them to make an official ban on adoptions between the U.S. and Kaz just as they had done!! :-(( Why can't they stay in Russia and not muddy the waters any more than they are!!! GRRROur agency said she had been talking with the 'ranch' and she was getting it in writing all the details and also proof that they are operating legally now and with a license. She felt like Kaz had acted positively to the mtg. and that it wouldn't stall of re-opening. She also said MOE (I think that's who it was) had been to Washington and said the reports had been reviewed and accepted and they also had talked with the owner/manager of the ranch and was satisfied now that they are licensed etc. So.... it sounds like Kaz is good with everything, but... will they re-open and WHEN??? They come back from break the first of August, but I can hardly let myself hope they will re-open soon thereafter! What have the rest of you been hearing? It's been quiet on here...is everyone else still hanging on to hope? Hugs and courage to you all as we wait!!

Thanks for posting this. Im also feeling blue about this whole situation. We finished our RFE for uscis...so now we wait some more....

I spoke with the director of our agency and he says it has been resolved. :)
