I keep coming acroos the reimbursement of money from the military once adoption is complete. My husband mentioned this to his pay office and they did not know what he was talking about. we hope to adopt from Ukraine in January but need to know what form number is needed to apply for this reimbursement. Can anyone help?

Ok OK , of course once I ask for help I finally find a form number. It says DD Form 2673 on one web site not sure its valid or not but hopefully this helps all others. Good luck on your adoption journeys!

Also, did you know about the $5,000 credit. Yes CREDIT! The $5K is getting bumped up to $10K. There is a limit by salary and only certain expenses can be credited. FYI and hope this helps
The only way to receive the $2000 re-inbursement is after the adoption is final? correct?
Will the military cover any expenses as in home study programs (the agency I looked into was 1,800 alone just for the study) before the adoption?
It's a 3 page DD form that you can find at <usapa.army.mil> website under DD forms, DD 2675
Hope this helps my wife and i are seriously looking into adoption, i am in the army and it looks pretty overwhelming at times. Good luck to everyone, these kids need good homes and the military is too often overlooked.
