I've had a profile up on this website for about four years with no contact from my birth family, so I thought if I posted here it might help. I'm a 29 year old female, born October 2, 1983 (10/2/83) in Cortland, New York. I was born at Cortland (Women's?) Hospital and adopted through a lawyer's office two days later on October 4, 1983. The following is what I know about my birth family.
My birth mother's last name is/was Stuart. She was Catholic. She was 25 and in college when she gave birth to me. She had a son, possibly by a different father, that she kept, who is 2-4 years older than me. There was no information given about my birth father.
My info: I am 5'10'', blonde, blue eyes, freckles. I grew up in Ansonia, Connecticut and currently live in Florida. I desperately want to find my birth family. This is my starting point but I'm not sure where to go from here. Even if you are not my birth family, any tips would be helpful in starting this process. It is a daunting task because it was a closed adoption and some people say I have a lot of information about my birth mother but I feel it is not enough. I know private investigators can be expensive and I don't have a lot of money. Just thought I'd throw a line out there and maybe someone can connect me with someone the family knows or someone in my birth family. Thank you for reading.
