I am seeking three of my birth siblings. There were 5 of us. We were all born in SLC, UT, I think at Holy Cross Hospital. After a divorce, in abt 1945, our mother didn't have the money to take care of us and left us with our paternal grandmother. In about 1947, we were all put up for adoption, without our mother's consent or knowledge. By the time she found out, four of us were already gone and adopted out. Mom was able to get our oldest brother back and raise him. We also have an older sister who is from our mother's first marriage.
Through some miracles, I was able to reunite with our sister, Dixie and our oldest brother just a few weeks ago after 66 years.
She told me that our mom loved us all and but couldn't watch us starve to death. Our sister told me that she never stopped looking for us, until she just couldn't do it anymore. She just died last year and told our sister to never give up looking for us. She helped mom look since she was 16 years old. She is now 76 and is dying of Leukemia and has only a short time left... it could be any day. It is her dying wish that we find all of our siblings.
I don't know how to find you... I don't even know what your adopted names might be. I have thought about you my whole life. I was adopted at the age of 5. That was 66 years ago. I am praying for a miracle... are you out there? do you even know you have brothers and sisters?
I remember my adopted mom thought all 3 children were adopted by a profesor or teacher?? but that may not be right. Our brother remembers dad saying something about Terry being in California...?? I know so little and the adoption registry in Utah wont open the records unless both sides are looking for each other.
If anyone can help me find my siblings or know anyone who might have information, please, please let me know.
