Just to recap:
Just over 2 years after moving in, 1 year after TPR was granted, the paperwork for the adoption was started.
1 month later: we took the adoption class required in our area. (the one everyone kept saying we didn't need to take, and they actually had me convinced that I was wrong till a year later "you have to take a class ...")
1 month later: one kid's paperwork is done.
1 month later: second kid's paperwork is almost done.
Week later: CASA visit
Day later: call from CASA saying AW thinks the process will take 2-3 more months ...
hour later: call from AW saying the laywer should be calling soon.
20 minutes later: call from lawyer to set up a time to sign papers
That day's walk to the mailbox resulted in me finding a copy of the packet of papers that we would be reviewing with the lawyer.

Then there was the long weekend. Tomorrow we go to review and sign paperwork at the lawyer's office. I really am thankful the AW send a copy to our house as we tend to read everything before signing anything.
I know we still have a few months ahead of us for DCFS to review and sign off. We also have to finish the homestudy. I'm not sure why this part wasn't done first, but ... hey, there are a lot of things I don't understand. I'm just doing a huge happy dance over here that things are seeing a lot of movement finally.
Now, will it really take 2-3 more months? I'm not sure. At times that seems forever. And other times, like in the quiet of the night it seems like a blink of eye.
