Hello all me and my husband are new here and have lots of juicy questions I know people with more experiance can help us and give us some support.
Our Orientation is Oct. 9th 2013
Do we have to fix our place (get the kids room ready with bed, toys and all) before they do the homestudy?
How long after we start on process A (Orientation) to Z(Placement) we were told Fully bilingual foster parents are non exhistant in Indiana and I was wondering how true is this?
More questions to come as I remember them all.

We were 3.5 months from our 1st class to placement. We did orientation a couple months before. We could have started the RAPT classes right after, but had a vacation scheduled.
We did set up rooms for our homestudy, but I'm not sure if it's necessary. It is however required when they do the final walkthrough and sign paperwork. They need to see the beds, because each is noted in your paperwork.
Bilingual foster parents aren't unheard of in my area, I've met quite a few. However, I'm sure it is different depending on where you are located. I will say that it isn't enough that they can place each non-English speaking child in a home that speaks the same language as them. So it will be an asset for you.
