I got a call today from our CW telling us that we are official and that our license is in the mail :cheer: So now I am excited and nervous and jumping every time the phone rings!!

Congrats! I know I will be starring down my phone once we are licensed. You got licensed very quickly, thats awesome! We just got told ours will likely take until December :grr:

Hi!! :) We were certified about a week and a half ago, after a grueling 1 1/2 yr process (woohoo!!)... now I am just anxious to get to be a MOM!! Have you been placed yet? If so, how in the world did you pass the time while waiting? I might just go crazy!! LOL

WOW 3 months?! That is super fast!! Congrats! :cheer:
It did go by pretty fast!! They had everything done by the last MAPP class, so all that was left to do was send it all off.
We did get a call last Thur. for an 11yr boy but had to turn it down. Our age range is 2-5yrs and we have a 7yrs BS. Haven't heard anything since then! :( The waiting is really hard.....but my house is super clean :D So right now we're still watching the phone!!

Cool, Good luck! Here in Cali we started the process in early Feb and were completely done in May. We recvd our first call for a 4 day old baby boy in June. It all happened pretty fast for us. I have found that caring for the children is the EASY part. Dealing with the system, judges and especially DCFS is the hardest. This is where you will need your patience.

Newbie here and i see you said you were in CA. is there a forum for fosteradopt in CA. Or a Facebook group or something you know of?? love to talk to everyone who is going though fosteradopt but would also love to speak to folks who are in Ca and deal with with the system here. ty!!
