Okay okay, I know ,I know :p
I am more ahead than I think I am excited orientation soon but we already went and got the security stuff for plug, doors, and cabinets. Am I too ahead I am ready to get the toddler bed and Crib as well as toys, dresser. Should I wait for clothes or by some things if on special like for example the ages we are asking are 0 to 3 even opened to 5 including siblings since we are Foster/Adopt.
Some things I am buy right off new instead of second hand at least because our main goal is adoption. My DH said you loosing your office :( I told him I don't care is my children's room  But yeah I am getting everything neutral because I really don't care if it's boy or girl as long as it needs our love is all that matters to me. I am so ready to be a mom Can't you tell?
Okay am I missing anything important for this transition?

We were just certified ten days ago and I did the same thing! It makes the wait easier if you have something to do, so I tried not to do it all at the same time because the whole process takes a while. Also for us our local walmart isnt open 24 hours so I got diapers and formula, toothbrushes, and an outfit or so for each gender/age we are going to be fostering. your county should have a clothing closet you can get clothes from also. :cheer:

You sound a lot like me. We are so close to being licensed now and are open to 0-8 so it's a lot of "what ifs" to prepare for. We picked a neutral theme for the room, bought beds, refinished furniture, painted, made quiults, pillows and curtains to match. Our LW came over last week and I asked her if she had any tips on what we were lacking and she said no that we had done more than most. My thoughts were, "really? I am not done yet" lol. If you're like me this will get so expensive. I am lucky to have tolerant people around me, this process is all I have talked about for months! Good luck with everything, the time will fly by. :laundry: Don't forget matress covers, my nephew taught me that real quick!
I am telling you I feel like I am walking in air tbh I think my DH is going bonkers with me. I told him i am so ready to be a mom  he laughed and kissed me on the forehead and said (Yes baby I know and we will be there soon) he is so wonderful and understanding. I think I got a great catch or how he says to me he got the great catch with some many women only wanting childsupport instead of a family he said he is the lucky one :bullwhip: lol I have trained him well....Yeah I know I was looking at the pads and other cute things but I went to a store here called Once upon a child and man oh man things are awesome. And many people at work and family are happy for me so they don't mind me talkign about this all the time.
I am very excited for you!! You are WAY ahead of me and we have been certified for about 2 weeks now. I am afraid to get anything because our age range is 0-7 and there are so many different needs in that range... crib, toddler bed, twin bed?? Ugh, I have been fighting back not getting one of each! LOL
We are doing foster/adopt, and so I figure we've got a few weeks with visits after we get our match, so we've picked everything out at the stores and will just go buy it when we know...
I hope the process goes really fast for you, and the best thing I've done with my time while waiting is read, reasearch, and read some more. These are children who may have diffferent reactions and behaviors than the general child population because of their past, use this down time to educate yourself for every stage of life and grief. I am hoping that when the time comes, even if I won't have all the answers, I might remember reading about it in a book and can refresh myself as needed :)
Keep us updated!!

Yeah I see your point about the ages see ours is 0 to 3 possible 5 so crib and toddler beds might work for us but I haven't bought that yet since we are waiting just enough to know if they will be needed before Homestudy...I am reading lots and lots and yes research and support here is awesome too....I did get 2t and 3t for both boy and girl since we hope that even after we do foster and adopt we will go straight to foster.
I will keep everyone posted :hippie:
