Male adopted from Canada in 1963

I am trying to find my Father's birth family. We are interested in finding out more about the history. He was born in North Sydney Cape Breton Nova Scotia. DOB is Feb. 19, 1963. His birth name is Lawrence Paul Mcphee. Don't know much about his mother. Name on certificate is Jacqueline Mary Mcphee. Don't know anything about father. Mother was living in New Brunswich at time of birth. Anything would be helpful!!
