We got our first placement! We got the call on Friday at 2p.m and by 4p.m. we had a 2 day old baby brought to us straight from the hospital. We got the weekend to bond with him and adjust a little then tomorrow we meet with the caseworker to see what the plan is. Right now the plan is classified as unknown since mom had no interest in giving possible family members,dad is alleged at this point, and she had even less interest in setting up visitation.
For now, we are loving this sweet baby. :D
Now how do I make one of those signature things like the rest of you have? lol

Congrats on the little one! To make a signature, go to the top prple bar where it says user cp and it will bring up a list. Signature should be one of the choices.

You need a minimum number of posts to have a signature, so if it is not available yet that is why. Just keep posting us updates on that new sweet one and you will be there in no time! Congrats on the first placement!:cheer:

Congrats!! How long were you guys waiting? We are hoping for your exact situation.... :)
We were licensed on th 24th of Sept. and we got him on the 4th of October. So,really quick for us! fingers crossed! I hope the same happens for you!

Ok,so it wasn't his caseworker...it was our caseworker. Lol apparently we have our own. I don't know why I didn't know that. Anyway,we meet with his actual caseworker today. She got in touch with mom so she gets a visit tomorrow. After that we will figure out what his plan is. We also find out if he is drug exposed. As for us,we are in love with this little guy! He is just adorable!

My wife and I were licensed about 10 days before you. We got one call last week, but he ended up not being taken from home so we are still in the waiting game! I assume we will be waiting for quite some time though - which is good for the kids if they are staying home, but leaves us anxious!
