for those of you who are wondering it took us a lonnnngg time to finalized the adoption of our GD.
TIMELINE:
4/11 DHS opened case
10/11 bio Mom quit visiting
8/12 TPR
9/12 adoption home study started
5/13 home study complete
8/13 went from foster care to Adoption assistance
9/13 adoption finalized WE have a new daughter who is our GD!!!!:clap:

Congratulations!!! It also took us 2 1/2 years to finalize adoption on our nephew, a long road but so worth it. Best wishes for your family!

We did a kinship adoption as well through DFS took nearly 2 years. But I was so happy when it was done. :)
