Hi,
We just learned today that they are going to move forward with adoption by us. :grouphug: We are so unbelievably excited!!
Can you tell me more about what the adoption home study entails? We don't have our first meeting till Nov and we can't wait to know more.
THANK YOU! :)
Honestly it was just a few questions about how we would raise our STBAS. A very quick look around the house. it was super easy. If you have done a fc home studyhe adoption one is nothing.

Paper work wise, more than getting licensed for foster care.
As for the actual walk through the home, not nearly as intense.
I had to fill out about four forms. They will ask for proof of insurance, paystubs, and bank statements. I had an interview and they updated the home study. They are supposed to come out three times.
We had a stack of paperwork about an inch thick that took forever to fill out! Our adoption worker has come to the house about four times to chat and ask questions, now she is finishing up her assessment to submit to her supervisor for approval. It's been a slow process, but I'm happy it's finally moving along!
