Update on adoptions

We adopted DD from Stavropol in 2005 and I just wanted to pop in and see what the status of Russian adoptions is at this point. Are they closed? What happened to all the families that had already met their children, were they able to complete their adoptions? Are they doing more foster care in Russia (that was a big push when we travelled). What is the future for Russian adoptions?

I like to check in every 6 mos. or so, but things looks so bleak and quiet on here I am guessing it is not good news.

Hi Britfish - I remember you!

No, news is not good. Looks like both U.S. and Canadian adoptions are halted. There are some Facebook groups with plenty of news on the subject. Just really sad.
