So our house is kind of disorganized since we rarely have guests (the guest room is going to be our future child/children's room) and we have been using it as storage and organization for garage sales/resale staging. We will be looking for a boy ages 0-5, potentially with special needs. The room is 10ft x 11ft so good size. Right now we have a twin bed and a full in there, though I would get rid of the full since it is older and not comfortable at all. We were going to put "customized" shelving/drawers in the closet for storage/clothes/toys.
How would you prep that room? What sort of things should we have in that room to prepare for the future children since there is a large range of normal in those ages plus potential delays and a large range of ages. We do not have a crib anymore but we could conceivably get a travel crib or pack and play. Is a pack and play okay for infants?
Oh no here they cannot sleep in a pack and play- they HAVE to have a crib and one that is not one with a drop down side.
Also they have restrictions on how many kiddos can go in each room- so youll have to look into this.
Regards to items- Id wait on most things. You will accumulate SO many things when you get kids... So get the basics such as stuff for there clothes, etc.

Thanks. I'm thinking we will get a travel/portable crib ( real crib just a bit smaller). We are just beginning our process though so I will be asking lots and lots of dumb questions I'm sure
