Living With A RAD Child
Description:
Living with a RAD (Reactive Attachment Disorder) child can be quite challenging. Learn practical ways of parenting children with RAD as well as discovering tools and techniques to help maintain your sanity and bring healing to these children in a loving and practical way.

John Ward is currently a program manager for a private non-profit organization which focuses on foster-care, independent living and home-based services. He also spent 10 years as the Director of Counseling for a non-profit organization. He holds a MasterՒs Degree in Counseling, and specializes in the area of Reactive Attachment Disorder ADD and trauma. John is also a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III for the State of Ohio. He is a recipient of the Rising Star Award for the Ohio Child Welfare Training Program. John also is a master trainer in the area of adoption competencies for C.A.S.E.
John has been involved with child welfare since the age of 14. He spent his teenage years as a foster child and was later adopted. He has been a therapeutic foster parent since 1994, and is the father of two biological children and three foster children.
Cost for Event: Donation of any amount to FACES of Hope.
Lunch: Suggested donation of $3.00 per person
