At the last court hearing, DCF stated they did not believe paternal grandma was a suitable placement for my foster son. The judge still ordered a walkthrough of grandma's house.
What does this mean? Does this mean the judge thinks grandma is a viable placement though DCF and my foster son's lawyer are against it? Is the judge just looking for another opinion besides the CW's on grandma's suitability? Is the judge just trying to hear everyone out, as a sort of due process? This judge three weeks ago allowed maternal aunt visits, and then a week later terminated mom's reunification services.
Thoughts? Opinions? Experiences?
I think the judge is making sure the family is fairly considered so they can be fairly ruled out. This saves a lot of appeals time and .388 filings.
