Me and my wife have been trying to adopt using hope for kids for the last year and a half now. After about six months we were told our paperwork got lost and we will have to start all over again. That was 8 months ago and now that all of our clearances are black our social worker told us all thats left is our homestudy to be completed. The last time we saw our social worker was six weeks ago is this normal that it takes this long for a homestudy to be completed. We try talking to our social worker but she always redirects the question about how long it will take by saying that there are emergency home studies in front of ours. I guess I'm really just looking for an outside opinion on the whole situation?????
