We are also going through this process right now. Home study completed.

We had our first class (pre-service) on Saturday. It was a lot of common sense stuff too.

Well, we decided to go forward. That was last Thursday. They told us they would meet with the child and set up a schedule early this week. Guess what? They can't get a hold of her foster mother. Apparently, all they have to do is call her foster care worker and find out where she is. Waiting to see how that turns out. So, something should have taken a day, or maybe two, now turns into a week.

We got our daughter!! She is 16 and we love her to death. How is your process going?

We have our 3rd class scheduled and DHEC/Fire inspections scheduled. Hopefully we will get the home study begun after the 3rd class. I'm expecting end of October we should be done. WE also should know if we are staying here or going somewhere else. My husband gets discharged end of the year.

DHEC went very quick and easy today. They were here a grand total of 10 minutes
