Just brand new to this becoming-foster-parenting thing. We have medicaid for our kids, and wonder if that will disqualify us? We could give it up, but wondering if we should/could opt out before even applying? TIA
Yes your kids can have Medicaid! How will they know if your kids have Medicaid? I was never asked what insurance my bio family had and just because you have Medicaid doesn't mean that you can't afford to take care of your core family.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm obviously very new to this whole thing! :)
We all have to start somewhere! :woohoo:
We are in Ky and have to supply insurance cards for our whole family in our formal application. I worry about us being fairly low income myself. I decided to bite the bullet and quit working to substitute in our school system and/or accept foster children as they come. We just submitted our pre screening application.
