So I'm reopening my license as a single parent after previously being a dual parent home. I have a couple of things I need to update (about 5 forms), which I've completed and just need to mail back in. I have to find the fire extinguisher and get it recharged, and since I've moved since we were previously licensed, I have to get the new place inspected by DHEC and the fire marshal. I have three rooms that could be licensed, I'm thinking about licensing all three...not because I want that many kiddos, but because I like the idea of being able to move rooms if we needed to.
I need to put up some shelving in the laundry room and move the chemicals up to the highest shelf.
Oh. and I have to come up with 28 hours of training! Forgot that part. So yeah. I'm scrambling to get my only and home study modules done, have a cpr course in a week, and have training seminar this coming Saturday.
And I just finished my first online training! Yay!
So my question is, has anyone used the Foster Parent College for their recertification hours?

Finished my online training, and an hour of in person training. Saturday is 6 hours of training. And I sent away for the mail-order training modules. That will be 8 hours. I have to have the DHEC and Fire safety inspections, and then I'm relicensed! For those I need to do the regular baby proofing and send in the fire escape plan.
Whoo Hooo!
Hopefully by the end of August!
