Does CPS, the courts or ad litems consider the age of a potential kinship caregiver relative to the age of the child? I am currently fostering a one year old whose paternal grandmother now wishes to foster. Grandmother is in her early '70s. Just curious. I know preference is given to family.
I know 2 situations where caregivers as old as 80 were given little kids, less than 1. It probably depends on the area.

We just had a foster placement given to grandparents in their 60's earlier 70's and it was a 4 year old and 18 month old and a newborn.
