Anyone else out there have a 100% Gtube fed child and or a micropreemie "survivor?"
Our FS was born at 23 weeks 2 days.
He just turned 1 :)
Tons of issues but the sweetest little guy.
My 14 year old is completely Gtube fed. We attended a feeding clinic years ago and he learned how to swallow. But he has never been able to drink enough to get rid of the tube. Recently he developed problems eating orally again so we are back to 100% tube. Nothing by mouth.

I had a 25 weeker. He's now 3 and a half, and absolutely fabulous. He has mild CP and relies completely on the g-tube for nutrition. He's started eating some smooth purees, and we just switched him to thickened liquids as he was aspirating on water.
He's smart, funny, and adorable. He's actually a very easy child despite his medical issues. The first year was pretty rough, but he's doing quite well now.
