Hi All,
My husband and I are certified foster parents and have provided respite for a brother and sister who we are interested in providing a forever home to {the current foster parents are not planning take them permanently as they have their own birth children and only foster}. They've been in care for 16 months. Dad's rights were were told are easy to terminate and are going through now. Mom did the court court menu but the agency is going forward with TPR bc there are major concerns. She petitioned to have the kids returned last month, judge denied it :woohoo: sooo...This is going to trial. What does this all mean? We were told there's 3 legal meetings coming up, per trial in nov, trial in dec.. She only has supervised visits twice a week for 2 hours, nothing more. Will these continue through trial? What else should we expect? This is all new to us.
You'll probably get more/better responses if you post this in one of the other sections (Foster Parenting? Adoptive Parents?). This forum is primarily geared towards Adult Adoptees -- and this sub-forum specifically focuses on adoptees who are hoping to reunite with their birth parents.
