We are currently in the process of becoming licensed to take in my niece. We are running into an issue that we have 9 children (8 under 18). How do large families do foster care? We are a great home for children in need and I am now broken hearted to think that if we get the variance to take in niece, we will be unable in future to care for any other children for at least 4 years. ߘ anyone have any advice or wisdom on this? Thanks do much!

Here you wouldnt be able to foster as you can only have 8 children MAX (or more if your kids already)..you would have to wait for some of them to be 18+ or move out

The technical limit here is 6 kids, but they do offer exceptions if they NEED you to take more. You would be at the bottom of the list, though.
