Many parents who chose adoption believe it is the adopted ones right to seek or not seek. They may also / probably don't have any way to find out seeing as your records were sealed from them.
Tennessee has convoluted rules about you getting your original birth certificate. It seems to depend on whether a veto was filed by your parent(s) of birth, whether your adoption was finalized in different state - it just seems complicated.
I found this number to call to get info: "For more information, call the office of Post Adoption Services at 615-532-5637." - I do that because it doesn't seem like they explain what you need to do on the website.

Dickons is right. Many wait for their children to reach out to them when they are ready.
You can try searching on registry.adoption.com.
You can create a profile there for any family members searching for you to see online. You can also see if they have created one, etc.
