Hello, My husband and I have know for a long time we wanted to adopt. After lots of research, we want to adopt a child/sibling group that is 2+ from the US, through the state system in MA. It is discouraging as we looked a the profiles of children, each said they needed a home with no siblings or older siblings. Our kids are 7 & 4. My husband said we just need to wait several years to even begin the process. Is this realistic or are we missing something? Thanks for any advice or experience!

Though I don't live in MA. , but why don't you go through the foster to adopt program. That you will have everything ready for when you find the child you want to adopt. But other than that I would start the process any way there are thousands of children that needs a loving forever home out there at this very second , so to think that there isn't one that will fit into your family is almost impossible.
