Hello, We are just wondering if anyone who has adopted across the lines? One of the major questions we have is will we get to spend time with the kid before we actually say yes. This kid is legally available. If so how did you go about visits?

Typically you would coordinate it with the social worker and foster parents of the child. For our kids I flew out to their state and was able to have them all day Saturday and Sunday (They did need to go to their foster parents home to sleep) but i had them for 12-15 hours each day. If you are closer (driving distance) you may even be able to arrange to have them visit at your home but this largely depends on your social worker and how adept they are in understanding the ICPC process.
