I am a 34 year old woman, my partner is a 31 year male and was adopted at birth. He would have no idea I'm even thinking about this, but I can't help but notice he exhibits a lot of the common traits I'm reading about among adopted adults.
Is there any advice those who are adopted can give to those who are dating or married to adopted adults? I don't want to force the issue because he insists there isn't one, but there are many threads about common traits, issues and challenges experienced by adoptees - so are there common ways a husband/wife can show support and compassion through our actions that are often helpful to adoptees?
I just want to make it as easy as possible for my partner to love, be loved, and to build a family of our own so figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
