I just cruised this board out of personal history interest. I'm closing in on 50 and adopting my second child (internationally) right now. Both were/are young infant adoptions. Every breathing human deserves a family, even infants. IGNORE THAT NASTY PERSON. Make a good home and wonderful family for the child of YOUR dreams, younger or older, and do not listen to any nay-sayer. You know, most nasty patches heal up and disappear when not scratched. Good wishes to all who yearn and work to make more loving families in this world.

Thanks for your post! I feel the same way you do...I am blessed with both biological and adopted children. We too are in our 40's. Thanks again. It's to bad it only takes a few to spoil these boards for everyone else.
