Looking for boy born 1950s from English mother in forces.

Hello, My husband's mother is English and she joined the Royal Canadian Air force in the early fifties. She got pregnant whilst in Montreal but gave the baby up for adoption and came back to England. Maybe she was kicked out of the forces. Would any one know if the Air force would keep records of this? All we know is that the baby was a boy. My husbands mother's second name was 'Vaughan' This would make him my husband's stepbrother and he desperately would love to find him. I doubt he will know he has a brother.
