If you are interested in placing a baby - please be certain the families you are looking at have a homestudy (a comprehensive study that includes, emotional, physical, financial health of the family adopting and a background check which includes driving records and any convictions). Hopeful parents on parent profiles.com have to submit a letter from their agency and a copy of their homestudy before they can post their letter. Speak to agencies in your area they will most likely have a book of profiles for you to look at. Lastly, if you wind up posting your e-mail address, be prepared for a lot of e-mail (a recent b-Mom) received over 200 responses in just a few hours (she posted on another board and asked people to quit writing her).
