Just wondering - adoptees who have found and connected with birth families, as an adult, do you call everyone just by their first names? What about the grandparents? Are they "Grandma & Grandpa" to you? It seems to me that it's a little like getting married and all of a sudden having relative strangers as family members. The expectation on the part of the extended family (after so long of wanting to reunite, especially!) would be that you are now part of the family and, as such, refer to them as other family members do. What are your experiences?
