Talking to your parents about your search?

How did you tell your parents you wanted to find your biological family? How did they respond?

In 2001 I went through US search. I spent $500 to receive help from US Search. The first step the investigator had me do was interview my parents. I met with my parents and told them I wanted to find biological family so I could obtain health information they were not able to provide for me. My mom gave me very limited information, but within three weeks I was in contact biological aunts and uncles. A month later I was in reunion with my biological mother. Ancestry DNA also a great option. Good luck!
