We adopted a baby from Russia in 1996. I would like to contact the birthmother for a few reasons...One for family medical info (our son's father died before he was born), want to thank her, and want to be able to provide our son with additional info on his siblings. Am I able to initiate contact?

You may wish to join the Yahoo BirthParent Contact group - the database has a list of references of various "searcheers" for Russia.
Sincerely,

PS We used Ruslan to search for our sons Birth family
We were told by both our Agency and the Judge in Court that we were not legally allowed to contact the birth mother. You may want to check with your agency before pursuing this...
