Looking to Connect

Hi, my name is Kayla. I'm 29 years old and am married to an amazing man named Aaron. We've chosen to adopt due to fertility issues but our desire to have a family has never wavered. We've talked to a couple agencies about adopting but we're looking to find some other ways to connect to prospective birth parents as well as others who are adopting. Aaron and I live in Leduc, AB and Alberta has some pretty strict laws on how the adoption process works. I'm curious as to if there are other couples who have adopted in Alberta and what avenue they went through to adopt, did you use an agency (if so, which one)? did you connect with someone one and do a private adoption? How did you find the process? We;d love to connect to more people and work on networking ourselves out there! Any tips, stories and information would be greatly appreciated!
