Most of the time, adoptive parents quality for six weeks unpaid time off for family leave after they adopt their baby. I have seen a few people get upset that it's not paid time off. Most companies that I have heard of give paid time off to women who give birth because that legally counts as short term disability since she has just undergone a procedure. Do you think adoptive parents should get the same short term disability?
