My husband is wanting to adopt my daughter. She is almost 4 years old, and her bio dad has only seen her a couple of times, and not since before she was six months old. There have been a couple of emails here and there where he has talked about seeing her, but he never followed through with it. We have a lawyer, and he is going to send him notice of the intent to adopt. If he doesn't respond, we can continue with the adoption with no problem. It is going to be a long thirty days for me. I already can't sleep worrying about him causing trouble, even though I don't think he will. I was wondering what anyone thought about me emailing him and just letting him know he is going to be getting notice of the adoption and if he is going to fight it. Just for my peace of mind. I just don't know if I can handle thirty days or more of not knowing.
