TPR & Intervention

Hi, Looking for anyone who might have a similar story to ours. Long story, but will try to keep it short. We are in the process of trying to adopt a baby in the state of Florida. We were at the hospital for baby's birth but BM never signed and we went home heartbroken. A couple of weeks later we got the call that she had signed but baby had gone into custody of the state after BM went home so the agency had to file an "Intervention" with the court to allow us to adopt. Alleged father showed up at court. The intervention was granted but they didn't allow placement because the alleged father's attorney argued for AF to have continued visitation (we live in another state) and also requested a dna test. We were told they would file a TPR but haven't heard anything since that day. We do have another court date set. It's all very confusing and we really don't know what to expect. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Thanks!!
